Candidates Certified for 2026 Minnesota Chippewa Tribe Election on Mille Lacs Reservation
The Joint Session of the Mille Lacs Band Assembly has certified the candidates who will appear on the ballot for the 2026 Minnesota Chippewa Tribe Election on the Mille Lacs Reservation, an important step as the community prepares for the upcoming election season.
All individuals who filed to run for office completed criminal background investigations conducted by the Band's Office of the Solicitor General. Solicitor General Caleb Dogeagle confirmed that each candidate meets the eligibility requirements outlined in the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe Constitution and Election Ordinance.

The resolution certifying these candidates was adopted by the Joint Session of the Band Assembly at a duly convened meeting held on February 9, 2026, at Nayahshing, Minnesota, with a quorum of elected officials present. The lottery for the order of candidates on the ballot was livestreamed on February 20, 2026, at 1:01 p.m.
