WEWINABI ON THE MOVE! MODERNIZATION PROJECTS ROLLING OUT ACROSS ALL LOCATIONS
From rebranding to full renovations, our community-owned businesses are entering a new era of service and stability.
By Michele Palomaki, CEO of Wewinabi, Inc.
Wewinabi, Inc. is entering a major phase of growth and modernization. If you've driven by any of our locations recently, you've likely seen the construction underway — and that activity represents meaningful progress. These projects are part of a strategic capital investment designed to reinforce our buildings, upgrade our services, and keep our community-owned businesses strong for the next 10 years and beyond. From structural improvements to customer experience enhancements, these updates reflect our commitment to serving the community with excellence, efficiency, and long-term stability.
Many of our stores have reached significant 20-year mile-stones, and this work ensures they remain safe, modern, and ready to meet the evolving needs of our customers. We're also expanding our loyalty programs and savings options across all locations to deliver more value with every visit.
Below is an overview of the ongoing and upcoming im-provements. We appreciate your patience as our teams work hard to complete these updates.
Mid-November - Super Stop in Onamia Rebranding
The Super Stop is transitioning from the Shell brand to the Holiday Stationstore brand. At the same time, Holiday locations across the region — including ours — are moving through a multi-year corporate rebrand to Circle K. This transition from Shell to Holiday to Circle K brings stronger national brand recognition, increased customer traffic, and access to Circle K's reliable food programs and popular "2-for-1" promotions.
Taco John's, which currently shares the same footprint and entrance, will gain its own dedicated entrance beginning next spring to improve customer flow and convenience.
Mid-November - Grand Market Renovations
The Grand Market will receive a complete interior and exterior refresh. Early work includes a redesigned entrance and a new dedicated service counter to make quick stops even quicker. Regular lunch customers will notice smoother service as we introduce a redesigned wrap-around deli and expanded coffee offerings.
Exterior updates coming this spring — including a fresh coat of paint, updated headers, and refined trim features will provide a clean, modern look and boost curb appeal.
End of November - East Lake Convenience Store Refresh
To create greater consistency across all Wewinabi locations, East Lake will begin equipment and interior updates in December and January. While much of this work will occur behind the scenes, it will improve operational efficiency and deliver a more uniform customer experience throughout our network.
January - Crossroads Convenience Store Updates
The Crossroads Convenience Store will begin its refresh in March/April, including exterior structural improvements and interior modernization similar to the other locations.
These projects represent meaningful investment in modernization, efficiency, and long-term stability for our community businesses.
We extend our appreciation to our elected leaders whose support makes this work possible.
