May 29, 2026

Grand Casinos are pleased to welcome Madison Conway, Ozhaawashkonebiikwe to the Grand Casino Mille Lacs Band Member Services team as our new Band Member Recruitment and Retention Specialist.

Madison brings a strong passion for advocacy, community, and supporting Band Members throughout their career journey.

When asked what she enjoys most about working at Grand Casino, Madison shared that the sense of teamwork stands out most to her.

"I have been in and out of Grand Casino over the last few years, and the one thing I always enjoy is the sense of teamwork from everyone. It is so refreshing to see leadership work so closely with one another while staying effective and efficient to ensure the best experience for our guests."

For Madison, her role is especially meaningful because it allows her to be both an advocate and a trusted resource for Band Member Associates.

"I truly enjoy being able to advocate for others and be a reliable resource that our Band Member Associates can rely on, whatever may come up for them."

One of her proudest moments so far has been seeing the number of Native Youth building their futures at Grand Casino.

"Having worked in education the last few years, I am especially excited watching our youth succeed and begin exploring ideas for their career paths early on."

When offering advice to other Band Members beginning their journey with Grand Casino, Madison encourages them to embrace every opportunity.

"Don't be afraid to dive in! There are so many support systems in place for Band Members that go far beyond the onboarding period, along with a wide array of career paths to explore." Being part of the Grand Casino team carries deep meaning for Madison.

"It means playing an active role in the economic development of our Tribe."

Looking ahead, Madison hopes to inspire future Band Members by leading through example and staying grounded in community values.

"I hope to inspire future Band Members in the workplace by leading with respect, accountability, and a strong connection to our community values as members of the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe. To me, being in the workplace isn't just about doing a job; it's about representing our Band with integrity and honoring the opportunities we have."

She adds that creating a supportive environment is key to helping others thrive.

"I want to set an example by working hard, supporting Band Member Associates, and being someone others can rely on. When people feel valued and supported, they’re more likely to succeed and pass that encouragement on."

Please feel free to reach out to her directly about employment opportunities: Madison Conway, Band Member Recruitment and Retention Specialist, 320-674-0577 call/text.
